Our first screening is BASSWEIGHT, a documentary that offers a rare insight into the underground world of dubstep. The film traces the genre’s evolution from its early roots in South London to its rise as a global sound system movement. Featuring interviews with DJs, producers and promoters who helped shape the scene, BASSWEIGHT captures the energy and community behind one of the most influential electronic genres of the 2000s.

For this screening, the film will be played with Translate Sound System, bringing the low-end frequencies and atmosphere to life the way the music was meant to be experienced.
